INTERPRETATION OF THE THREE SECTIONS OF THE "ABBA PATER" PRINT

The Lino-cut Triptych composition is linked together by two crosses. The Organ in the left frame represents the main instrument of the church. Below the Tree of Life can be seen standing in an endless ocean. The Anchor symbolizes hope.

In the middle frame the Holy Father carries the world's worries and problems on his shoulders. The artist's optimism is revealed by the Dove of Peace bringing peace and forgiveness to the world. Above the dove mankind holds Christ's helping hand. In the left hand corner of the center frame is the Ornamental Throne and the Papal Tiara, which represents the Glorious Holy Year, 2000. In the right frame God holds the world in his hand along with our fate. Below this, a silhouette of a Modern City represents the world in our present time. A rowboat in the large waters symbolizes biblical history. Below, the cerebral image represents existence and thinking.

The monotype colors in the background and those surrounding the three frames represent serenity and a pleasing atmosphere. Included in this are the Heavenly Trumpet, wind, clouds and beyond the two cathedral windows is the Holy Spirit in heaven. The flowers reflect spring and a life full of joy.
